Flow Assurance CFD Engineer
We are looking for a Flow Assurance CFD Engineer to deliver flow assurance and CFD studies across concept, FEED, and EPC phases for upstream oil & gas projects.
Responsibilities- Deliver flow assurance and CFD studies while meeting project cost, quality, and schedule requirements.
- Perform steady-state and transient multiphase thermohydraulic analysis for wells, pipelines, and subsea production systems.
- Conduct CFD simulations to evaluate thermal performance, erosion, and flow‑induced vibration (FIV) behaviour.
- Collaborate with subsurface, subsea, and process engineering teams to develop integrated engineering solutions.
- Develop technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for clients and project stakeholders.
- Support project execution activities during concept, FEED, and EPC phases.
- Contribute to proposals, tenders, and business development opportunities.
- Help customers optimize production system performance, integrity, and operational reliability.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in Flow Assurance and/or CFD engineering within the upstream oil and gas industry.
- Experience supporting projects through concept, FEED, and/or EPC stages.
- Solid understanding of multiphase flow, thermodynamics, hydraulics, and production system behaviour.
- Experience with flow assurance software such as OLGA, PIPESIM/Pipe Phase, PVTSim, Multiflash, and/or PIPENET.
- Experience with CFD software such as ANSYS Fluent, ANSYS CFX, and/or STAR‑CCM+.
- Knowledge of flow assurance challenges including hydrate formation, wax deposition, asphaltenes, sand management, or erosion.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Experience performing thermal, erosion, or flow‑induced vibration CFD analyses.
- Exposure to subsea production systems including trees, manifolds, flowlines, and pipelines.
- Professional chartership status or working toward chartered accreditation.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and global project teams.
