At Firestone Airide, we develop advanced air spring solutions that are used in a wide range of commercial vehicle, industrial and mobility applications worldwide. As part of Bridgestone, our European Headquarters and Development Center in Arnhem play a key role in the design, validation and industrialization of innovative air spring technologies.

To strengthen our Product Development team, we are looking for an enthusiastic Quality Engineer.

The Role:

As a Quality Engineer within Product Development, you will ensure quality is embedded throughout the entire product development process. From concept and design through validation and industrialization, you will work closely with Engineering, Testing, Manufacturing and Suppliers to identify risks early, define quality requirements and support successful product launches.

You will be a key contributor to APQP and PPAP activities, helping project teams deliver robust, reliable and manufacturable products that meet customer expectations and performance requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead and facilitate APQP & PPAP activities throughout product development projects.

Support development teams in identifying and mitigating product and process risks through DFMEA and PFMEA activities.

Participate in design reviews and provide quality input during concept, development and validation phases.

Define, track and report quality deliverables within development projects.

Collaborate with Product Development, Testing and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure robust product designs and smooth industrialization.

Work closely with suppliers to ensure quality requirements are understood and achieved during the development process.

Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives within the product development organization.

Ensure customer-specific quality requirements are effectively translated into development and validation activities.

Support successful product launches and transfer into serial production.

Based in Arnhem, we develop advanced suspension systems for the automotive and industrial sectors. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Experience in a product development environment within automotive, commercial vehicles, industrial products or a similar engineering-driven industry.

Knowledge and experience of APQP, PPAP, DFMEA and PFMEA methodologies.

Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Understanding of product validation and verification processes.

Familiarity with structured problem-solving methods such as 8D and Root Cause Analysis.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across different functions and cultures.
