Job Overview

As an Environment Advisor, you will be responsible for environmental planning, permitting, execution, and coordination of environmental inspection activities related to Canadian project work. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals and gain hands‑on experience in environmental compliance and data management including monitoring progress, reporting on results, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
WhatYou Will Do
- Lead the environmental planning process, including the development of environmental assessment reports, facilitation of public information sessions, acquisition of permits, and preparation of cost estimates.
- Collaborate with federal, provincial, and local agencies to obtain necessary approvals and ensure environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental permits and conditions during construction and oversee post‑construction compliance requirements.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external groups, including government agencies, Indigenous communities, and landowners.
- Manage the environmental components of multiple projects concurrently, including oversight of consultants and adherence to project schedules and budgets.
- A bachelor’s or post‑secondary degree in an environmental, engineering or related field (experience in lieu of degree is allowed).
- At least 4 years of related environmental experience in pipeline, industry, or upstream oil and gas sectors.
- Ability to comprehend diverse regulatory, scientific and technical issues.
- Familiarity with best management practices for environmental protection.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills focused internally and externally on a wide variety of people including employees, management, regulatory agencies, and the public.
Office environment. Occasional travel to office/field locations (~10%). Fast‑paced work setting.
