Fire Protection Engineer

Position: Fire Protection Engineer - Hybrid Role
Stantec seeks a Senior Fire Protection Engineer for a hybrid position that combines remote work with field involvement. Use your engineering expertise to design fire safety systems that impact communities.

As part of the Buildings team, you'll lead the design and implementation of advanced fire protection systems across diverse project types in Canada.

Your role will include collaborating with various engineering disciplines and mentoring emerging talent within the team. Delivering high-performance environments that meet client expectations is key to this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design and development of fire protection systems

• Conduct hydraulic calculations adhering to NFPA standards

• Review engineering specifications and project documentation

• Liaise with project stakeholders for seamless delivery

• Conduct site investigations to ensure compliance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with 12-15 years experience

• In-depth knowledge of NFPA and Canadian building codes

• Ability to manage multidisciplinary project teams

• Experience with BIM and CAD software
