EHS Project Lead

Position: EHS Project Lead at Canadian Solar
Elevate the safety standards at e-STORAGE by becoming the Project EHS Lead. This remote position promotes compliance and best practices in Battery Energy Storage System projects across Ontario.

As Project EHS Lead, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing environmental, health, and safety compliance for Canadian operations. Partnering with project teams, you will provide strategic EHS guidance from project design through ongoing maintenance. Your expertise will support a thriving EHS culture while leading assessments, inspections, and incident investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as primary EHS contact for Ontario BESS projects

• Provide practical EHS advice to project teams

• Conduct site inspections and audits for risk identification

• Support incident and near-miss investigations

• Collaborate with teams to embed safety in project phases

Requirements:

• Minimum five years of EHS experience in complex environments

• Educational background in health, safety, or environmental management

• Strong knowledge of Ontario EHS legislation

• Recognized health and safety certification preferred

• Willingness to travel for project site visits
