Salary:
Up to £57,000 depending on experience
Location:
Stevenage (we may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)
Dynamic hybrid working:
Typically, 3 days per week on site with accommodation for blended on-site and remote working.
Security clearance:
British.
All successful candidates will need to undergo a Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

- Act as first point of contact for advice and support on technical and process-related queries
- Work on process improvement opportunities and promote relevant company processes across the team
- Track project activities of each Tech Lead through regular catch-ups and reviewing reporting materials
- Periodically review each Tech Lead’s Level 4 project plans
- Provide proactive guidance and course correction to identify potential issues early
- Support project gate reviews by advising on review pack contents and potentially holding pre-reviews
- Serve as escalation route to support realistic cost‑effective technical delivery solutions
- Tailor level of support and involvement based on individual team Tech Lead needs
- Investigate potential opportunities for offloading for each project
- Provide technical input to bids supporting Actuator Cof Ex new business
- Strong power electronics background, ideally with prior design experience of PMSM control systems (e.g., automotive traction or defence)
- Experience with mixed analogue and digital control electronics design, including power inverters, DC‑DC converters, digital position encoders, analogue position sensors, current sensors and signal conditioning, and discrete control logic
- Full product development life cycle experience
- Experience with Design for Test, Design for Manufacture, EMC, ENV compliance
- Experience designing for high safety integrity (Design Assurance Level / Safety Integrity Level)
- Aptitude for Systems Engineering, system architecture design, thermal management techniques and reliability
