Location: Fully Remote or working out of the clients office in Surrey
Contract: 3-Month Contract
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
IR35 status: Outside
We are currently supporting a well-established engineering consultancy in their search for a Senior or Principal Drainage Engineer to join their team on a 3-month contract basis.
The RoleYou will play a key role in delivering drainage and flood risk solutions across a range of infrastructure and development projects. Working autonomously, you will support design delivery, strategy development, and technical reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake drainage design for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects
- Prepare and review Drainage Strategies
- Produce Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) in line with current regulations
- Develop surface water and foul water solutions in line with SuDS principles
- Use Micro Drainage or Info Drainage for modelling and design
- Liaise with internal teams, clients, and approving authorities where required
- Proven experience in a Senior or Principal Drainage Engineer role
- Strong background in drainage design and strategy development
- Demonstrable experience producing Flood Risk Assessments
- Proficient in Micro Drainage and/or Info Drainage
- Good understanding of UK drainage standards and planning requirements (e.g. SuDS, LLFA expectations)
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment or in the office if local
- Fully remote working
- Immediate start available
