Engineered-to-Order; ETO Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for an Engineered‑to‑Order (ETO) Mechanical Engineer to support customer‑specific design work and engineering activities within our Sandvik Rock Processing, Screening Division business.

This position is available within the EMEA region and should be located within commuting distance of one of our main hubs:
Lahti, Finland;
Darmstadt, Germany; or Johannesburg, South Africa. The role follows a hybrid working model, combining remote work with on‑site presence as required.

• Create 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) in the PLM system (Teamcenter).
• Support the regional engineering team on SM range screen ETO projects.
• Provide technical support for engineering projects and related activities.
• Collaborate closely with the Sales and Production teams to ensure effective project execution.
• Communicate effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders to support project delivery.

• 3–5 years or more of experience in mechanical design.
• Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) or a related field.
• Experience in the crushing and screening (mining or aggregates) industry is advantageous.
• Proficient in 3D CAD design software; experience with Siemens NX is an added advantage.
• Experience designing large welded structures and/or vibrating equipment is beneficial.
• Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
