What You’ll Do
  • Support the design, analysis, and construction of all types of infrastructure projects, with a special focus on cold regions and permafrost areas in Canada.
  • Carry out complex analysis using state‑of‑the‑practice software.
  • Manage and coordinate geotechnical‑focused and multidisciplinary project teams, commensurate with your experience and capabilities.
  • Mentor and be mentored by colleagues across a breadth of experience fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry partners.
  • Contribute to business development, proposal preparation, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Drive innovation by leading or contributing to digitization initiatives, advanced numerical modeling, market research, and the development of emerging technologies, with a focus on climate change adaptation and risk and liability reduction.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geological, Civil, or Geotechnical Engineering (Master’s or PhD an asset).
  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in cold regions and permafrost geotechnical design and construction.
  • Knowledge of relevant Canadian and global cold regions and permafrost guidelines and standards, helpful.
  • General knowledge of geotechnical software solutions (Geo Studio™, Leap Frog, Rocscience).
  • Demonstrated ability to work and manage projects independently and on a team.
  • Proactive approach and strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Passion for making a positive impact through engineering.
  • Effective communication skills, including report writing and client engagement.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Commitment to technical excellence and mentorship. Active participation in professional associations and technical communities is an asset.

Typical office environment: working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements, including inclement weather.
