BIM Technician – Balfour Beatty (@one Alliance)

Location: Peterborough (Hybrid Working Available)

Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska and SWECO. And together, we deliver around 40% of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.

As we progress through AMP8 – our most ambitious asset management period to date – we’re delivering nature-based and sustainable infrastructure, from wetlands to urban drainage schemes, setting new benchmarks for environmental performance.

We are looking for an experienced BIM Technician with strong Revit and Plant 3D expertise to support the delivery of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You'll develop intelligent 3D models that drive efficient design, improve collaboration and support the successful delivery of sustainable solutions across the Anglian Water region.

Working closely with engineers, designers and project teams, you'll play a key role in producing high-quality BIM models, supporting digital innovation and ensuring projects are delivered to industry and alliance standards.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities
  • Create, develop and maintain detailed 3D models using Revit and Plant 3D
    .
  • Produce pipework, ducting and infrastructure layouts for water and wastewater projects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to integrate technical information into BIM models.
  • Support the delivery of projects in line with BIM standards and data management procedures.
  • Incorporate health, safety and buildability considerations into designs.
  • Assist with model coordination and clash detection using digital tools such as Navisworks
    .
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and digital innovation across the alliance.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers and project teams to achieve programme objectives.
  • Support the adoption of new technologies that improve efficiency and sustainability.
Who we're looking for We're looking for someone with:
  • Proven experience using Revit and Plant 3D to develop 3D models and engineering drawings.
  • Experience working on infrastructure, utilities, water or wastewater projects.
  • Knowledge of BIM standards and processes, including ISO 19650.
  • Experience with Navisworks
    , Civil 3D and Recap would be advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret engineering specifications, drawings and technical information.
  • Understanding of design coordination and multidisciplinary project delivery.
  • A proactive approach to learning, problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Commitment to health, safety and sustainable design principles.
