Join SMA America as a Field Service Engineer focusing on utility inverter support. This remote position involves extensive troubleshooting and maintenance in the renewables sector.
In this role, you will support the commissioning and repair of SMA’s utility inverters, working in diverse environments across the Western region. Your responsibilities will include data analysis, maintaining service inventory, and contributing to customer satisfaction. A background in electrical engineering and renewable energy will serve you well in completing these essential duties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform commissioning and troubleshooting for utility inverters
• Repair inverters both in the field and remotely
• Maintain accurate inventory of essential spare parts
• Analyze data and execute maintenance activities
• Ensure customer satisfaction while managing service costs
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferred
• At least 3 years of electrical/electronic experience
• Renewable energy industry experience is preferred
• Willingness to travel extensively
• Ability to work nonstandard schedules
