We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the technical capability of a Design Authority responsible for ensuring critical infrastructure remains safe, compliant and fit for purpose within a highly regulated environment. This role would suit engineers with experience in mechanical design, maintenance, installation or engineering assurance.
Key Responsibilities- Support the assessment, substantiation and ongoing performance of infrastructure systems, contributing to safety reviews, engineering assessments and the continued operation of critical facilities.
- Broad mechanical engineering experience within industrial, infrastructure, defence, energy, nuclear or other highly regulated environments.
- Experience with pumps and fluid systems, cranes and lifting equipment, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), pressure systems, diesel generators.
- Experience undertaking Periodic Safety Reviews (PSRs) or similar engineering assurance activities, with a strong understanding of design intent, asset integrity, ageing mechanisms and engineering substantiation.
- Knowledge of British and international engineering standards to assess compliance, support engineering decision-making and ensure the continued safe and reliable operation of critical infrastructure.
