Title:
Senior Principal Piping Materials Engineer
- Perform piping material engineering for offshore platforms/FPSO, etc.
- Prepare and review piping material specifications, standards, piping material classes, carry out thickness calculations, valve and specialty item specifications, and data sheets.
- Prepare and review piping bulk, valve and specialty item related MTO/RFQ/TBE/PO; review and approve supplier documents and drawings.
- Provide technical support related to piping material and engineering to the project during concept, pre‑FEED, FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, testing, installation, commissioning and start‑up stages.
- Work knowledge and understanding of various piping codes (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, DNV, NORSOK and NACE).
- Attend kick‑off meetings, pre‑inspection meetings at vendor works after placement of PO for valves, and participate in FAT for critical valves.
- Provide technical support to construction teams for site queries.
- Degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering with exposure to UKCS and PED requirements.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant engineering experience in a consultancy environment.
- Excellent experience performing piping material engineering for offshore platforms/FPSO, etc.
- Ability to supervise and guide a team of material engineers and provide technical direction on large offshore projects.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Self‑motivated, strong learning orientation and advanced computer skills.
- Capability to interface with clients and teams from remote offices.
