Due to continued growth and project demand, we are seeking a Project Engineer (Cabling) to join our Power Transmission & Distribution team and support the successful delivery of our BTNO Project in Assington, Suffolk
.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced engineer who is passionate about delivering complex cabling and power infrastructure projects safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting the delivery of HV cabling works across the BTNO project.
- Managing subcontractors and coordinating site activities.
- Reviewing technical drawings and engineering documentation.
- Producing and reviewing RAMS and safety documentation.
- Monitoring project progress, quality and programme performance.
- Supporting risk management processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Assisting with procurement of plant, materials and subcontract services.
- Maintaining accurate project records and reporting progress to stakeholders.
- Promoting a culture of Zero Harm and ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Supporting commissioning, handover and project close‑out activities.
- Experience working as a Project Engineer within power, utilities, construction or infrastructure projects.
- Experience delivering cabling, civils or electrical infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of safe systems of work and site‑based project delivery.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple work streams and coordinate project resources effectively.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
- A formal engineering or construction qualification, or equivalent industry experience.
- CSCS and SMSTS (or equivalent) preferred.
- APM qualifications or a desire to work towards them would be advantageous.
