Drive innovation in electric power projects with Sargent & Lundy Consulting as a remote Power Controls and Grid Planning Engineer. This role focuses on integrating various energy technologies for optimal power system performance.
We are seeking a seasoned engineer with over 10 years in power generation controls and grid integration. Your expertise will support Owner’s Engineer and design teams working on isolated power systems, ensuring compliance and efficiency in plant operations. You will engage with complex control interactions and lead technical oversight on major projects, including gas turbines and battery energy storage systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee technical design reviews of power systems
• Validate integration of control systems and dynamic loads
• Review plant operation strategies and control philosophies
• Conduct rigorous evaluations of EPC deliverables
• Collaborate with stakeholders for compliance assurance
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 10+ years’ experience in power generation controls
• Familiarity with dynamic performance studies
• Experience with gas turbine control systems
• Strong communication skills for cross-disciplinary engagement
