Role Description

The Fire Risk Assessor role at UKFRA Limited is a full-time position based in Skegness with a hybrid working arrangement, allowing some work from home. The Fire Risk Assessor will conduct on-site fire risk assessments for commercial and residential properties, including inspections related to fire doors, compartmentation, and fire stopping. Day-to-day tasks include identifying fire safety hazards, assessing existing control measures, documenting findings, and preparing clear, detailed reports with practical recommendations.

The role also involves liaising with clients, explaining assessment outcomes, and advising on compliance with relevant fire safety and health & safety regulations. The Fire Risk Assessor will collaborate with the wider team to maintain consistent assessment standards and contribute to continuous improvement of survey processes.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Fire Safety and Health & Safety knowledge, including applicable UK regulations and best practices.
  • Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to explain technical findings clearly to clients and produce understandable written reports.
  • Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills to evaluate risks, interpret survey data, and prioritize recommendations effectively.
  • Candidates should possess awareness of Legionella risk management as part of broader building safety considerations.
  • Relevant certifications or training in fire risk assessment (e.g., fire safety or health & safety qualifications) are highly beneficial.
  • Experience conducting fire risk assessments or related safety inspections in commercial and residential settings is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and a valid UK driving license for site visits are advantageous.
