What Will You Do?
Howden Canada Covent Fans is seeking for a Mechanical/Design Engineer to join the local team.
In this role, your main responsibilities will be:
- Design fans and blowers based on technical specifications provided by the customer and the company
- Perform design calculations for fans
- Select the various mechanical components
- Correct and adapt manufacturing drawings
- Provide technical support to other departments, suppliers, and customers
- Participate in laboratory testing
- Record procedures, standards, calculations, and other engineering-related details
- Develop tools and programs to improve the design process
- Visit job sites to perform diagnostics when necessary
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
- work from company site in St-Bruno de Montarville, to provide follow-up on various projects and collaborate with other team members and other departments
- hybrid schedule (1-2 days remote work depending based on requests and ongoing projects
- French is the working language on site
Your Experience Should Be...
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or other similar studies
- 0 - 5 years of experience in mechanical engineer or design
- Engineering Certification is not a requirement
- Knowledge of Inventor, VB Programming
- Organized, autonomous, detail-oriented, and curious
- Positive attitude geared toward continuous improvement
- Ability to master mechanical concepts; our products are custom-made
- English is not essential for this position, but English basic knowledge will be considered an asset
