Lead Civil Project Engineer Hybrid Role

Join a leading gold mining company in Northern Ontario as a Lead Civil Project Engineer. This hybrid role offers technical leadership and project management for civil capital projects from concept to commissioning.

In this independent contractor position, you will report to the Project Engineering Superintendent and oversee a team of senior civil engineers. Your responsibilities will include managing project execution, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring compliance with regulations and safety requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mining engineering and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all civil capital projects

• Lead and mentor a team of 5-6 civil engineers

• Coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction activities

• Review engineering deliverables from consultants

• Develop project execution plans, schedules, and budgets

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Civil or Structural Engineering

• 10-15 years in mining civil engineering

• Valid Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation

• Strong project management and leadership skills

• Experience in remote mining operations preferred
