Contract Rate: £350-£400 per day, Outside IR35
Working Pattern:
Hybrid with strong expectation to be on site

West Drayton (London)

Role Overview
This is an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to work on LV electrical infrastructure designs across a range of Network Rail schemes.
You will have ideally come from a practical electrical background, having previously worked within LV installation before progressing into electrical design. This practical experience is important, as the role requires you to understands how designs will be installed and delivered on site.
You must have experience designing electrical systems within an infrastructure environment. This is not a building services position.
Key Responsibilities
· Produce LV electrical designs drawings, calculations and technical documentation.
· Undertake site surveys to assess existing electrical infrastructure and establish design requirements.
· Develop practical and buildable designs based on site conditions and project requirements.
· Work closely with installation and project teams throughout design and delivery.
· Review existing LV systems and develop designs for new installations, modifications and upgrades.
· Provide technical support during the installation and delivery stages.
· Attend site and design meetings as required.
Experience & Requirements
· Strong background in LV electrical infrastructure design.
· Previous hands-on experience in electrical installation, ideally before moving into a design role.
· Experience working on infrastructure projects rather than building services.
· Good understanding of LV electrical systems and installations.
· Experience producing electrical drawings, calculations and design documentation.
· Rail or Network Rail project experience is highly desirable.
· Comfortable undertaking site surveys and working closely with site teams.
· Able to work predominantly on site, with some flexibility for home working
