Hybrid Working - 3 days office based, 2 days working from home

The Opportunity We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join a well-established engineering business delivering major infrastructure and construction projects across Scotland.

Based from the Nottingham office, you will play a key role in supporting and delivering geotechnical projects, providing technical expertise and working closely with clients, contractors and project teams.

This position offers a hybrid working arrangement with occasional travel to project sites across Scotland, typically every few months, with all accommodation, food and travel expenses covered.

Key Responsibilities Manage and deliver geotechnical and ground investigation projects.

Interpret ground investigation data and provide geotechnical recommendations.

Prepare factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.

Analyse site investigation results and develop engineering solutions.

Support the planning and delivery of large-scale infrastructure and construction projects.

Liaise with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders.

Undertake occasional site visits across Scotland to oversee works and assess site conditions.

Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and quality standards.

Support project delivery through effective planning, organisation and technical problem-solving.

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Requirements Degree qualified in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

Previous ground investigation and geotechnical engineering experience.

Experience working on large infrastructure, civil engineering or construction projects.

Strong understanding of site investigation techniques and geotechnical reporting.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Full UK Driving Licence.
