Senior Electrical Engineer
Our client, a pioneering company in the renewables sector, is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is a permanent, home-based role with the possibility of utilising our client's offices in London, Oxford, Edinburgh, and Horsham. The successful candidate must be willing to travel for site visits as required, bringing their expertise to various renewable energy projects, particularly in solar and transmission.
Key Responsibilities:- Leading electrical engineering design and consultancy projects within the renewables sector
- Conducting site visits and inspections to assess conditions and identify technical issues
- Managing and coordinating contractors, ensuring all project requirements are met
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders and keeping all parties informed
- Assessing the suitability of electrical systems and equipment, providing practical solutions
- Collaborating with project teams to deliver robust engineering solutions
- Staying up-to-date with industry regulations and standards to maintain compliance
- Representing our client as a senior technical authority within the business
- Qualified Electrical Engineer with significant experience in a Senior Electrical Engineer position
- Strong practical and hands-on electrical engineering experience
- Experience in engineering design and consultancy, particularly in the renewables sector
- Proven track record in construction projects and engineering consultancy environments
- Understanding of transmission and distribution (T&D) systems, experience with Independent Connection Providers (ICPs) or Independent Distribution Network Operators (IDNOs) is advantageous
- In-depth knowledge of relevant policies, regulations, and industry standards
- Excellent stakeholder and site management skills with the ability to provide clear solutions
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
