Role Description The MEP Project Engineer role at Saka Recruitment Services is a full-time position based in Abu Dhabi with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work-from-home flexibility. The MEP Project Engineer will oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design and implementation across building and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and contractors, reviewing technical drawings and specifications, and monitoring project progress against schedules and budgets.
The role involves conducting site inspections, resolving technical issues, preparing reports and documentation, and supporting project managers in stakeholder communication and risk mitigation. The MEP Project Engineer will also contribute to quality assurance, value engineering, and continuous improvement of project delivery processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) expertise, with experience integrating building services across project phases.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering skills, including HVAC, piping, and building services design and coordination.
- Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering skills, with knowledge of power distribution, lighting, low-voltage systems, and related safety standards.
- Candidates should possess Plumbing skills, including water supply, drainage systems, and sanitary installations in compliance with local regulations.
- Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience working on MEP projects in the Middle East, preferably in Abu Dhabi or the UAE.
- Proficiency in relevant design tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar), and familiarity with international and local building codes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
