Environmental Construction Manager

Position: Environmental Construction Manager at Canacre
Take the lead as Canacre's Environmental Construction Manager, overseeing compliance activities for energy development projects in Ottawa, Ontario. Drive environmental success through your leadership and regulatory expertise.

In this full-time role, you will manage a team of Environmental Monitors and ensure compliance with the Environmental Management System and necessary permits. Your expertise will be critical in mitigating environmental risks while supporting the project's lifecycle. Expect significant fieldwork responsibility, as well as project management support, and collaboration with both regulators and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily environmental compliance during energy project construction

• Coordinate environmental monitoring and required surveys

• Prepare and review field reports for accuracy and compliance

• Implement corrective actions for environmental issues

• Act as liaison between construction teams and regulatory agencies

Requirements:

• Proven experience in environmental compliance and project management

• Comfort with field inspections and remote work

• Ability to inspire and lead a diverse team

• Strong understanding of environmental regulations

• Willingness to travel 25-50% in rugged environments
