Civil Design Engineer

Manchester (Walkden / Bolton area)

Salary:

Civil Engineer Job Overview
  • Support the delivery of civil engineering design projects within the development sector
  • Assist with the day-to-day running of projects, progressing towards lead responsibility
  • Work closely with clients, local authorities, and contractors
  • Prepare and progress technical submissions (S38, S278, S104 agreements)
  • Develop design work across highways, drainage, and SuDS schemes
  • Respond to technical queries and support project delivery to deadlines
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team on varied development projects
Civil Engineer

Job Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or similar)
  • 0-2 years' experience (consultancy or development environment ideal)
  • Strong ambition to achieve Chartership (ICE or equivalent)
Knowledge or experience of:
  • AutoCAD
  • Drainage design (e.g. Causeway Flow)
  • Highway design (e.g. PDS or similar)
  • Understanding of SuDS principles and UK design standards
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive, "can-do" approach
