The Team Lead reports to the Director of Engineering.

Coordinate mechanical engineering activities across multiple projects.
Review and approve mechanical designs to ensure compliance with standards, specifications, and project requirements.
Serve as liaison between Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Purchasing.
Track project progress, manage schedules, and report status, risks, and performance to management.
Act as the technical escalation point for complex design or implementation issues.
Ensure proper documentation of designs, calculations, reports, specifications, and change orders.
Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Technical Leadership
Provide hands‑on technical guidance and conduct design reviews.
Drive standardization, design optimization, and best practices.
Support adoption of new tools, technologies, and engineering methods.
People & Team Management
Lead, coach, and develop a small team of engineers.
Plan and prioritize team workload and communicate expectations.
Conduct performance reviews and support onboarding and skill development.
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and results‑driven team culture.
Identify and implement improvements in engineering processes and workflows.
Contribute to innovation, cost reduction, and efficiency initiatives.
Reduce defects, rework, and engineering risks through quality improvements.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
3–5 years of experience in mechanical engineering and project coordination.
Experience in leading or mentoring engineers is preferred.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Experience with HVAC, piping, machinery, or similar domains is an asset.
Proficiency in CAD and familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
Strong leadership and people‑management skills.
Excellent planning, organizational, and communication abilities.
Effective at managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Strong technical problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.
Ability to foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Comfortable working cross‑functionally with various departments.
This is a hybrid position, combining working from home with regular presence at our Nunspeet office. Occasional travel (approximately 0–5%) may be required for customer and supplier visits, both nationally and internationally. The role may also include visits to industrial and project sites.
