Your future role on our team
Your role will be to participate in engineering, select technology and execute mechanical and multidisciplinary projects in the mining,energy and heavy industry sectors. You’ll be part of our team specialized inthermal systems and industrial building services. You’ll work with experts andbe exposed to a wide range of situations to develop your technical skills inpumping, energy recovery, ventilation, heating, air conditioning, plumbing andpiping, fire protection, compressed air, dust collection, generators andtheirfuel for various industrial applications.

You’ll be using your leadership skills every day, whether it’s to develop trusting relationships with our partners, train the next generation or work with a passionate team.

• Design systems for building services (HVAC, power systems: cooling and heating loops, heat recovery systems) and approve associated engineering documents
• Work with the team on innovation projects involving decarbonization and energy recovery in the industrial sector
• Develop trusting and quality business relationships
• Help prepare proposals
• Manage the technical portions of projects (design reviews, costs, schedules)
• Prepare, draft and produce study reports
• Assist less experienced staff with the technical aspects of more complex tasks
• Coordinate the work of drafters or other team members

Summary of certifications and job requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a mechanical engineering or building services program
• From three to eight years of relevant experience in building services (HVAC), heat recovery, thermal power systems, cooling systems
• Excellent knowledge of the MS Office Suite
• Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
• Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
• Ability to draft technical documents in both languages
• Asset: relevant experience in the industrial sector
