For our international client, a specialised chemical ship owning and chartering company, we are looking for a (technical) SUPERINTENDENT to reinforce the team, based in Rotterdam.
NOTE :
Only candidates who are eligible to work and live in The Netherlands will be considered for this role!!!
Your Role
As a Superintendent you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by ensuring the operational excellence of our fleet. You’ll oversee the performance and maintenance of multiple vessels and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You’ll work closely with fellow superintendents and report to the Fleet Manager.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Managing the operational performance of 3 to 4 tankers.
Overseeing dry-docking and maintenance schedules to ensure timely and efficient execution.
Collaborating with technical teams to resolve operational issues and implement effective solutions.
Developing and managing budgets for vessel operations.
Acting as primary point of contact for vessel crews, the operations department, and external stakeholders (e.g. Flag State, Class).
Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications / Requirements
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role within the maritime industry.
Strong background as a Senior Officer on chemical tankers or Small LPG vessels.
Familiarity with Planned Maintenance Systems and common software tools.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Willingness to travel for vessel visits and dockings.
