Job Description & How to Apply Below
Senior EPC Project Planner | Master the Timeline of Complex Energy Projects (Milan Hub)
In the world of complex EPC infrastructure and energy assets, a schedule isn't just a list of dates—it is the strategic backbone of the entire project.
At Arkad, we are looking for a high-caliber Senior EPC Project Planner to join our permanent Head Office team in Milan. Reporting directly to the Project Control Department Manager, you won't just track progress; you will act as the strategic navigator of multi-million-dollar EPC projects across their entire lifecycle—from home-office engineering and procurement baselining to site construction execution and commissioning.
Competitive Salary Range: €56,000 – €62,000 Gross Annual Salary (RAL) + Corporate Benefits.
Why this role matters:
You will hold the reins of project time management, defining Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), conducting Schedule Risk Analysis in Primavera P6, predicting trends, and driving critical path strategies to protect project profitability and completion targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Home Office Execution & Baselining:
Define project WBS with multidisciplinary teams and establish baseline execution plans. Utilize advanced planning methodologies (CPM, Gantt, precedence diagramming, float estimation, crashing, and fast-tracking analysis) to maintain schedule control.

Risk & Analytics in Primavera P6:
Conduct methodological and operational Schedule Risk Analysis utilizing Primavera P6. Evaluate standard productivity, calculate S-Curves, and build manpower histograms.

Site & Subcontractor Integration:
Develop Level 3 CPM schedules for construction and establish the Construction Progress Monitoring System (CPMS). Align Level 4 detailed subcontractor schedules, track productivity, and analyze manpower forecasts.

Trend Analysis & Mitigation:
Monitor schedule evolutions, anticipate physical progress deviations, and propose proactive mitigation/recovery plans to prevent time slippage.

Claims & Commercial Support:
Collaborate closely with the Project Control Coordinator and PM in monthly reviews, assisting in the analysis of subcontractor claims and the preparation of Client change orders.

Your Profile:

EPC Expertise:
Consolidated hands-on experience in project planning across the full lifecycle (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning) within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Energy projects.

Software Mastery:
Expert/Power-user level proficiency in Primavera P6 is mandatory.

Analytical Precision:
Deep understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM), Earned Value Management, productivity tracking, and Schedule Risk Analysis.

Site Readiness:
Willingness to support site teams during critical project phases or progress review milestones.

Languages:

Fluent written and spoken English (Italian proficiency is a strong advantage).
