Hitachi Energy is seeking a Construction Tendering Specialist to support the delivery of tender submissions for substation, power infrastructure, and renewable energy projects across the UK.
Working closely with the Construction Manager, you'll provide construction expertise throughout the tender phase, helping to develop practical, buildable, and commercially competitive solutions. This role offers a high degree of flexibility, with predominantly remote working and occasional travel to project sites and meetings.
Location: UK (Hybrid/Remote with occasional travel to Birmingham and project sites)
How You'll Make an Impact The OpportunityHitachi Energy is seeking a Construction Tendering Specialist to support the delivery of tender submissions for substation, power infrastructure, and renewable energy projects across the UK.

How You'll Make an ImpactPrepare and support construction tender submissions for UK-wide projects.
Develop construction methodologies, logistics plans, and delivery strategies.
Produce construction and installation estimates for projects ranging from £500k to multi-million‑pound values.
Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Attend project reviews, tender meetings, and stakeholder calls.
Carry out site visits to assess buildability, risks, and site constraints.
Coordinate inputs from engineering teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and CDM requirements.
Support post‑tender clarifications and project handovers.
Manage multiple tender opportunities simultaneously, typically supporting up to 10-15 projects at various stages.
Experience in tendering, estimating, construction, project management, or project delivery.
Experience supporting projects through the tender phase.
Understanding of construction methodologies and project sequencing.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of CDM regulations.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Substation, HV, or transmission & distribution experience.
Renewable energy project experience.
Construction estimating and installation estimating experience.
Utilities, EPC, or power infrastructure background.
