Civil Design Engineer

Our client, a renowned consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. The role involves working on wastewater infrastructure projects, providing a vital service to communities. Initially, this position offers hybrid working from Slough for the first four weeks, transitioning to flexible or remote working thereafter.

Key Responsibilities:

Designing and developing wastewater infrastructure projects
Collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure project success
Preparing detailed engineering plans and specifications
Conducting site assessments and investigations
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Managing project timelines and deliverables
Providing technical guidance and support to junior team members
Communicating effectively with clients and project teams

Job Requirements:

Experience in civil engineering, particularly within the water sector
Strong proficiency in civil design principles and relevant software
Understanding of wastewater infrastructure and related standards
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Relevant degree in civil engineering or a related field
