Your Future Role

As part of the team, the Applications Engineer & Quotations Specialist is responsible for developing technical and commercial quotations for ANEMA Motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and drive systems. This role partners closely with customers, sales teams, and project stakeholders to develop engineered solutions, review technical requirements, and support successful project execution throughout the customer lifecycle. The successful candidate will contribute to proposal development, forecasting, quality management, contract review, and customer consultation, with a particular focus on applications within mining and other heavy industrial environments.

This position offers remote work flexibility; however, preference will be given to candidates located in or near Edmonton, Calgary, or Toronto.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead bid management, proposal engineering, and quotation development for ANEMA Motors, VFDs, and drive system solutions, with a focus on mining and heavy industrial applications.
  • Review customer specifications, technical requirements, and applicable industry standards (ANSI, NEMA, IEEE, IEC, CSA).
  • Develop technically sound and commercially competitive solutions based on application and system requirements.
  • Support projects from proposal through execution by providing technical guidance and application expertise.
  • Provide technical support to sales teams and customers across Canada.
  • Collaborate with customers, sales, service teams, and vendors to develop accurate and competitive quotations.
  • Support factory testing, commissioning, and customer start-up activities as required.
  • Manage multiple quotations simultaneously while meeting quality and delivery expectations.

Your Profile

  • Electrical Engineering degree, Engineering Technology diploma, or equivalent.
  • Eligible for E.I.T., C.E.T., P.Eng., or P.Tech. (Eng.) designation.
  • 5+ years of experience in mining and other heavy industrial sectors (e.g., metals, oil & gas, pulp & paper, marine).
  • Experience with industrial equipment applications in the mining, oil & gas, pulp & paper industries is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of motors, VFDs, power systems, switch gear, motor control, and electrical integration.
  • Experience developing or supporting engineered industrial solutions and drive systems.
  • Familiarity with project documentation, including manuals, drawing submittals, and ITPs.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, customer-focused problem solver who can manage competing priorities.
  • Experience with ANEMA Motors and Siemens/Innomotics drive technologies is an asset.
