About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer with expertise in coastal infrastructure to join their fully remote, forward-thinking team. This role involves the design and analysis of structures exposed to challenging marine environments, including ports, jetties, seawalls, and offshore platforms. You will contribute to critical projects that protect and enhance coastal communities and industries, ensuring the integrity and longevity of vital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structural analysis and design for marine and coastal structures, considering loads such as waves, currents, and corrosion.
  • Develop detailed design drawings, specifications, and calculations for concrete, steel, and composite structures.
  • Conduct site assessments (remotely or through on-site partners) and feasibility studies for coastal development projects.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant national and international codes and standards for marine structures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including marine biologists, geotechnical engineers, and project managers, in a remote setting .
  • Provide technical support during the construction phase and review contractor submittals.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with a specialization in marine or coastal structures.
  • Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is essential.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the design and analysis of coastal and marine infrastructure .
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ANSYS) and marine-specific design tools.
  • Strong understanding of hydrodynamics, material behavior in marine environments, and corrosion protection.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with demonstrated success in remote collaboration .
