About the Role
Our client is seeking a specialized Remote Civil Engineer with a focus on Geotechnical Analysis to join their technical team. This position involves providing expert analysis of soil and rock mechanics, foundation design, and slope stability from a remote location. You will work on a variety of projects, utilizing advanced software and data to provide critical insights for safe and effective infrastructure development.
The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to communicate complex geotechnical findings clearly to project teams and clients through digital channels.
- Perform detailed geotechnical analyses, including foundation design, settlement calculations, and slope stability assessments.
- Interpret subsurface investigation data, including borehole logs, CPTs, and laboratory test results.
- Develop geotechnical recommendations and reports for a wide range of civil engineering projects.
- Utilize specialized geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, Geo Studio) for modeling and analysis.
- Collaborate virtually with project managers, structural engineers, and construction teams to integrate geotechnical findings.
- Ensure all analyses and recommendations comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in geotechnical analysis and design.
- Proficiency in geotechnical modeling and analysis software.
- Strong understanding of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and foundation engineering principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
