Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their elite engineering team in a fully remote capacity, serving their Richards Bay, Kwa Zulu-Natal operations. This is a senior technical leadership role responsible for setting the engineering direction, solving the most complex mechanical challenges, and driving innovation in product development. You will be a key technical advisor, influencing design strategies and mentoring other engineers.

• Define and drive the technical strategy for mechanical engineering initiatives.

• PhD or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 12+ years of extensive experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on complex systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in multiple areas of mechanical design, analysis, and simulation.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and influence engineering direction in a remote setting.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, adept at conveying complex technical information to diverse audiences.
