About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a specialized Automation Electrical Engineer for a fully remote position. This role is central to enhancing and optimizing our automated systems and processes through innovative electrical and control solutions. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of automation hardware and software, ensuring seamless integration and efficient operation. This is a unique opportunity for an expert in automation to work from anywhere, contributing significantly to the technological advancement of our client's operations and collaborating with a globally distributed team.
Key Responsibilities- Design, program, and commission industrial automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA .
- Develop electrical schematics and control panel layouts for automated machinery and processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to automation hardware, software, and network communication.
- Specify and select appropriate automation components, sensors, and actuators to meet project requirements.
- Implement system upgrades and modifications to improve efficiency, reliability, and safety of automated operations.
- Collaborate with software engineers and operations teams to ensure integrated system performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation and control systems .
- Proficiency in programming various PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley Studio 5000) and HMI software.
- Strong understanding of industrial networks (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profibus) and communication protocols.
- Experience with robotics integration and machine vision systems is a plus.
