About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative and self-driven Remote Mechanical Design Engineer with a specialization in automation and robotics . This fully remote position allows you to contribute to cutting-edge projects from the comfort of your home office. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing automated mechanical systems and robotic applications that enhance efficiency and precision in manufacturing and logistics.
This role requires a creative thinker with strong technical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a virtual team environment.
- Design and develop novel automated mechanical systems and robotic end-effectors using advanced CAD tools.
- Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bill of Materials for automated machinery.
- Perform kinematic and dynamic analysis of robotic systems to ensure performance and safety requirements are met.
- Collaborate closely with controls engineers and software developers to integrate mechanical designs with automation logic.
- Conduct feasibility studies and conceptual design work for new automation solutions.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing automated systems for improved performance and reliability.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Robotics Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong focus on automation, robotics, or mechatronics.
- Expertise in robotics design , automation principles, and system integration.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD) and simulation tools relevant to robotics.
- Solid understanding of control systems, sensors, and actuators used in automation.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to working independently in a remote capacity .
