About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and data-driven Reservoir Engineer for a fully remote position based in Rustenburg. In this role, you will focus on analyzing reservoir performance, developing production strategies, and forecasting hydrocarbon recovery. You will utilize advanced modeling techniques and large datasets to identify opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and optimize field development plans. This is an exceptional opportunity for an expert in reservoir characterization and simulation to contribute significantly to our client's upstream operations from the comfort of their home office, working with cutting-edge technology and a highly collaborative global team.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain reservoir simulation models using industry-standard software.
- Analyze production data to assess reservoir performance and identify trends.
- Estimate hydrocarbon reserves and forecast future production rates.
- Recommend strategies for well placement, stimulation, and enhanced oil recovery (EOR).
- Collaborate remotely with geoscientists, drilling engineers, and production engineers.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations on reservoir performance and development plans.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering or a related geoscience discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in reservoir engineering, with a strong emphasis on data analysis and modeling.
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse, CMG).
- Solid understanding of petrophysics, geology, and production engineering principles.
- Proven ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
