About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design & Development Engineer to join their innovative team. This role, based in Vereeniging , focuses on the end-to-end development of new mechanical products and the enhancement of existing ones. You will be responsible for conceptualization, detailed design, prototyping, testing, and transitioning designs to manufacturing. • Lead the conceptualization and detailed design of mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software .
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for prototypes and production units.
• Perform rigorous engineering analysis, including FEA and CFD, to ensure design integrity and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, product managers, and manufacturing personnel.
• Prepare detailed design documentation, specifications, and manufacturing instructions.
• Troubleshoot design issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering .
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in product design and development.
• Expertise in Solid Works or similar advanced 3D CAD modeling software.
• Strong foundation in mechanics, materials, thermodynamics, and manufacturing processes.
• Proven experience with prototyping, testing, and design validation methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and strong communication skills.
