Senior Petroleum Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Petroleum Engineer to join their fully remote team, supporting operations relevant to East London . This critical role involves optimizing the performance of oil and gas reservoirs through advanced engineering analysis and strategic planning. You will be instrumental in maximizing hydrocarbon recovery and ensuring efficient, cost-effective production. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of reservoir dynamics and production challenges, thriving in a remote-first operational structure within the global Oil & Gas industry .

• Conduct detailed reservoir performance analysis and forecasting to optimize field development plans.
• Design and implement artificial lift systems, well interventions, and stimulation treatments.
• Analyze well test data, production logs, and reservoir simulation results.
• Develop economic models and evaluations for various production scenarios and projects.
• Collaborate with geoscientists and drilling engineers to integrate subsurface data and operational plans.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports and present findings to senior management and project stakeholders.

• Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in petroleum engineering, with a strong emphasis on reservoir and production engineering.
• Expertise in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, CMG) and production optimization tools.
• Proven experience in analyzing well performance, identifying production bottlenecks, and implementing solutions.
• Strong understanding of economics, risk assessment, and project management in Oil & Gas contexts.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities, crucial for success in a remote role.
