About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their globally distributed engineering team, operating in a fully remote capacity. This position is pivotal in conceptualizing, designing, and validating advanced mechanical solutions for innovative products and systems. You will play a key role in tackling intricate engineering challenges and contributing to projects that have a significant impact, all while working from the convenience of your home office.

- Spearhead the design and development lifecycle of mechanical components and systems, from initial concept through to final validation, ensuring innovative and efficient solutions.
- Conduct rigorous analytical and simulation-based assessments, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), to optimize design integrity and performance.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with remote, cross-functional teams, including product management, hardware, and software engineering, to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including detailed CAD models, 2D drawings, Bills of Materials, and manufacturing specifications.
- Proactively identify and resolve complex technical issues, providing expert guidance and solutions to meet project milestones.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and best practices within the remote team structure.
- Master's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in mechanical design, analysis, and product development.
- Expertise in 3D CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, Creo, Solid Works) and advanced simulation tools (e.g., Abaqus, Star-CCM+).
- Deep understanding of mechanical principles, material selection, manufacturing processes, and system integration.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently and deliver high-quality results in a remote setting.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly across different disciplines.
