Remote Drilling Fluids Engineer

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable Drilling Fluids Engineer to join their fully remote technical team. This role is essential for designing, managing, and optimizing drilling fluid systems to ensure efficient and safe drilling operations worldwide. You will provide expert advice on fluid selection, performance monitoring, and problem-solving for various drilling challenges encountered by the company's diverse projects. • Design and recommend drilling fluid programs tailored to specific well conditions, geological formations, and operational objectives.
• Monitor drilling fluid performance in real-time, analyze test results, and provide recommendations for adjustments.
• Troubleshoot drilling fluid-related problems such as lost circulation, formation damage, and wellbore instability.
• Manage inventory and logistics for drilling fluid additives and equipment.
• Collaborate remotely with rig crews, operations engineers, and geologists to ensure optimal fluid performance.
• Prepare technical reports on drilling fluid operations, performance, and cost analysis.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related science field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Drilling Fluids Engineer or Mud Engineer.
• In-depth knowledge of drilling fluid chemistry, properties, and application.
• Experience with various drilling fluid systems (water-based, oil-based, synthetic-based).
• Proven ability to provide effective technical support and problem-solving in a remote capacity.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with digital collaboration tools.
