About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Water Resources Engineer to join their established, fully remote team. This critical role focuses on managing and protecting water resources, designing sustainable water and wastewater systems, and addressing complex hydrological challenges. You will play a key part in developing solutions for water supply, flood control, and environmental management, contributing to the well‑being of communities across various regions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, design, and implementation of water resource management projects, including dams, canals, and distribution networks.
  • Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analyses to assess water availability, flood risks, and water quality issues.
  • Develop and optimize water and wastewater treatment processes, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments for water-related projects.
  • Manage project teams and provide technical direction, mentorship, and quality assurance for remote engineering staff.
  • Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources.
  • Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is essential.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in water resources engineering , with a strong focus on water supply and management.
  • Proven expertise in hydrological modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM) and hydraulic design.
  • Deep understanding of water quality, treatment technologies, and environmental regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, suited for a remote work environment .
