About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly competent and proactive Remote Site Engineer to provide essential engineering support for construction projects, primarily coordinating efforts related to sites near Vereeniging . This fully remote position allows you to leverage your technical expertise to oversee critical aspects of project execution, quality assurance, and problem-solving without the need for physical presence on every site. You will work closely with on-site teams, project managers, and stakeholders, utilizing advanced communication and project management tools to ensure project success.

- Provide remote technical guidance and support to site construction teams on engineering-related issues.
- Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure constructability and adherence to design intent.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control and assurance programs for construction activities.
- Analyze site reports, progress updates, and data to identify potential risks or deviations from project plans.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to resolve technical challenges and facilitate timely decision-making.
- Contribute to the management of project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in site engineering or a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and project management principles.
- Proficiency in using engineering software, project management platforms, and virtual collaboration tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically in a remote setting.
