Position: Robotics Mechanical Engineer (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative Robotics Mechanical Engineer to join their fully remote team, contributing to the development of cutting-edge robotic systems. This role focuses on the mechanical design, integration, and optimization of robotic platforms and their components. You will work closely with software and control engineers to bring sophisticated robotic solutions to life. Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for robotic platforms, including manipulators, mobile bases, and end-effectors.
  • Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using advanced CAD software suitable for robotics applications.
  • Integrate sensors, actuators, and control systems into robotic mechanical designs.
  • Perform kinematic and dynamic analysis, as well as stress and thermal simulations for robotic components.
  • Collaborate closely with software and control engineers to ensure seamless mechatronic system performance.
  • Develop prototypes, conduct testing, and iterate on designs based on performance feedback.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong focus on robotics or automation.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, Fusion 360) and simulation tools.
  • Experience with motion control, actuators, sensors, and power transmission systems.
  • Understanding of robot kinematics, dynamics, and control strategies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a distributed, remote team.
