About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team in Midrand. This role involves the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems and components for various innovative projects. You will play a critical role in the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization to production, ensuring that all designs meet stringent performance, safety, and quality standards. • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems using CAD software, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
• Conduct thorough stress analysis, thermal analysis, and vibration testing to validate designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, manufacturing specialists, and project managers, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including blueprints, schematics, and manufacturing instructions.
• Oversee the prototyping and testing phases of new product development, identifying and resolving any design flaws.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance throughout the design and implementation process.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD, CATIA) and FEA tools.
• Strong understanding of material science, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines effectively.
