About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive Remote Electrical Design Engineer with a focus on Power Systems to join their expanding global team. This position is entirely remote, allowing you to contribute your expertise in electrical design from anywhere. You will be responsible for the detailed electrical design of power infrastructure, ensuring it meets stringent safety and performance requirements. Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed electrical design documents, including schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
- Perform electrical calculations such as load flow, fault current, and voltage drop analysis.
- Specify electrical components, materials, and equipment for power distribution and control systems.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry codes, standards (e.g., NEC, IEC), and client specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to coordinate design efforts and resolve technical issues remotely.
- Review vendor submittals and provide technical support during the procurement and construction phases.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 3-6 years of experience in electrical design, specifically within power systems.
- Proficiency in using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP) for electrical design.
- Solid understanding of power system components, protection principles, and electrical codes.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and communicate effectively in a virtual team setting.
- Experience with power system analysis software is a plus.
