Remote Mechanical Design Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and self-motivated Remote Mechanical Design Engineer to join their distributed engineering team. This position focuses on the end-to-end design and development of mechanical components and systems from concept to detailed engineering drawings, all performed remotely. You will leverage advanced CAD tools and collaborate virtually with a global team to innovate and bring new products to life.

• Design and develop mechanical parts, assemblies, and complex systems using 3D CAD software.
• Create detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications for remote production.
• Perform engineering analysis (stress, thermal, etc.) to validate designs and ensure performance criteria are met.
• Collaborate effectively with remote cross-functional teams, including product managers, electrical engineers, and manufacturing partners.
• Participate in virtual design reviews and provide constructive feedback on design concepts and prototypes.
• Manage design documentation and version control within a remote collaborative environment.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Proficiency with industry-leading CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, Inventor, CATIA) and associated simulation tools.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience using collaboration platforms (e.g., Slack, Teams, Zoom).
• Proven track record of successful product design and development life cycles.
