About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled HVAC Mechanical Engineer to join their leading, fully remote engineering team. This position focuses on the design, analysis, and optimization of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for a wide range of applications. You will be instrumental in developing energy-efficient and effective climate control solutions, working collaboratively with a distributed team of professionals. This role is perfect for an experienced HVAC engineer who excels in a remote work setting and is passionate about creating sustainable and innovative building environments through cutting-edge mechanical design.
Key Responsibilities- Design and specify HVAC systems, including air handling units, chillers, boilers, ductwork, and piping.
- Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and system performance analysis .
- Develop detailed HVAC design drawings and specifications using relevant CAD software.
- Ensure designs comply with building codes, standards, and energy efficiency regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines in a virtual environment.
- Troubleshoot HVAC system issues and recommend solutions for optimal performance and energy savings.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC design and engineering.
- Proficiency with HVAC design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP, HAP).
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and psychrometrics related to HVAC.
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and energy efficiency standards.
- Excellent communication and project management skills for effective remote collaboration.
