Geotechnical Engineer

Our client is actively recruiting a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer for their Centurion office. This role is essential for ensuring the stability and safety of construction projects by analyzing soil conditions and providing expert recommendations. You will be involved in a wide range of projects, from large-scale infrastructure developments to commercial and residential buildings. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of soil mechanics, foundation design, and site investigation techniques, with a proven track record of delivering reliable geotechnical solutions.

• Plan and supervise geotechnical investigations, including soil borings, CPTs, and in-situ testing.
• Analyze soil and rock data to determine engineering properties and assess site conditions for construction.
• Design foundations, retaining walls, slope stabilization measures, and other geotechnical structures.
• Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports, providing clear recommendations and solutions for diverse project challenges.
• Collaborate with structural engineers, architects, and contractors to integrate geotechnical designs effectively into overall project plans in Centurion .

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with a geotechnical specialization.
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• At least 7 years of hands-on experience in geotechnical engineering, including field and office work.
• Proficiency with geotechnical software (e.g., Geo Studio, Plaxis) and geological analysis tools .
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly.
