About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled Telecommunications Specialist to join their distributed team, supporting critical operations across Vereeniging and beyond. - Manage and maintain the company's PBX system, VoIP services, and other voice communication platforms.
- Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity for voice and data services, ensuring optimal performance.
- Implement and manage telecommunication security protocols to protect company data and systems.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate telecommunication systems with other business applications.
- Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions.
- Provide technical support and training to users on telecommunication systems and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and supporting complex telecommunications systems.
- Strong knowledge of VoIP, SIP, PBX systems (e.g., Asterisk, Avaya), and unified communications.
- Experience with network protocols relevant to telecommunications, such as TCP/IP, QoS, and VLANs.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting voice and data communication issues.
